Education is the primary tool to uplift the underprivileged section and integrate with the mainstream. Education will also determine their prosperity, success and security in life. For the tribal community education is more important because that will help them to know their rights and preserve their heritage in their way.


MEET THE CHILDREN OF TRIBAL SCHOOL

 

Who are they?

 

  • Belonging to families with a monthly income of Rs. 8000 or less
  • First generation learners
  • Full-time working parents with no supervision for the children
  • Single parent homes
  • Older siblings acting as guardians
  • Subjected to physical, verbal and emotional abuse
  • Alcohol induced violence in homes on a frequent basis
  • Weak and undernourished Abandoned
  • Gender biased homes


Where Do They Come From?

 

  • Children from MIGRANT LABOUR FAMILIES living in Tribal areas
  • Children from economically weaker sections living in Wada village & nearby tribal areas
  • Children loitering in streets
  • BEGGING FOR ALMS
  • Children who have DROPPED OUT from up to three previous schools
  • Children of refugees from Bangladesh


EDUCATING A YOUNG CHILD JOGF's Role

 

  • ACADEMIC EDUCATION Maharashtra board curriculum (textbooks and syllabus)
  • Extensive remedial work with students as needed
  • Individual student assessment for classroom placement and advancement
  • Preparing for Open school exams in class 10th
